Writer, activist, artist. My works below document my journey in all three spaces, and the steps I’ve taken to integrate them together in form that is authentic to me.
The themes that typically emerge in my stories and art pieces focus on exploring colonization, racism, patriarchy, trauma, health equity and justice from my perspective and lived experience.
Writing
While the bulk of my professional writing has been spent in environmental advocacy and public health community work telling the story of others, I’ve always dreamed of sharing my own voice as an author in the fiction world. So, even if the magic of fiction isn’t easily evident through my writing samples below, if you look closely, there’s a dream waiting to unfold.

Visual Arts
The visual arts hold a special place in my heart as it allows me to bring my imagination to life in unexpected ways to complement my words and champion the spaces and work that I hold dear.
- I believe in healing through art, especially for trauma. As a trauma-work artist, my pieces explore emotions such as grief, agency, and optimism.
- As a food justice advocate, I run a mission based bakery (Cookie Therapy). All photography is styled, shot, and edited by me.
